The purpose of the Chinese ink painting art course at the Chicago Chinese School is to learn about traditional Chinese culture through both text and painting. It aims to help students understand the spirit of traditional Eastern art, master the techniques and materials, and develop analytical, interpretative, and systematic logical thinking as well as communication skills. The course also fosters independent thinking and the ability to appreciate the experience of an artistic living environment. Students will experience the richness of ink colors that present a simple yet elegant expression of artistic charm, as well as the unseen tranquility.
